Cork Credit Unions Division Two Football League

Mitchelstown 0-10            Bishopstown 1-15

Mitchelstown made the journey to Bishopstown on Easter Saturday last to take on the host club in Cork Credit Unions Div Two football league. Hopes were high as Town had won two of their opening three games with Bishopstown having failed to register a win. The home team were first to score but  points from James Mullins and S Kenneally kept Mitchelstown in touch as Bishopstown edged ahead 0-4 to 0-3 at the end of the opening quarter. The second quarter saw the home team kick on and at the short whistle lead 0-8 to 0-4. The opening minutes of the second half saw the game end as a contest as 1-03 without reply had the score 1-11 to 0-4 . Mitchelstown tried hard to get back into the game but with the wides tally nearly matching the points it was always going to be an uphill battle going down by 1-15 to 0-10. Mitchelstown have three tough matches coming up with Aghabulloge on Fri April 29th in Mitchelstown at 8pm followed by Kanturk and Knocknagree.
