Big game this Sunday

This Sunday the Mitchelstown intermediate football team travel to Mallow to play a very strong Aghabullogue team. The team and management in the Cork IFC semi-final the will be facing a very formidable outfit who are going very strong on both codes as they have reached the final of the IHC after a big win over Kildorrery last Sunday. Back in Mallow they dismissed a very good team in Millstreet in the quarter-final putting up a big score of 2-17. We played Aghabullogue last year and were well beaten by 5 points but saying all that Mitchelstown topped their group stage with 3 very good wins against Glanworth by 8, Adrigole by 13 and Mayfield by 9. They put up a very good score in the quarter-final against Kinsale and will travel back in good and confident spirits. Best of luck to all involved.

EVERYBODY WELCOME

Larry Tompkins in conjunction with Mitchelstown GAA will be in Cleary's Yard Bar next Saturday to sign his book and autobiography 'Believe' between 1pm and 3pm. Larry was one of the

greatest footballers ever to play the game and is revered not just in Cork but all over the country and abroad. When he came to Mitchelstown to train the junior team there was great excitement and within 3 years lifted the county in 2013 that was so badly desired. So everybody is welcome next Saturday. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be provided.
