Sprint to Pairc Ui Chaoimh Raises €9,300
Mitchelstown Gaa footballers virtual sprint from Mitchelstown Gaa grounds to Pairc Ui Chaoimh for Special Needs finished with a total of €9,300. The club and Special Friends are indebted to the people of Mitchelstown and surrounding areas and in deed people from further afield who donated and when you consider that The Late Late show were raising funds for Pieta House at the same time make’s the final figure an astonishing amount. To each and everyone once again a sincere thank you.
GAMES IN 2020?
The big talking point at present is will we have matches in 2020, what with time running out. Clubs were under the impression that small groups of four would have returned at this stage. The latest message from Croke is that all our facilities remain closed for recreational and games activity. General maintenance work commenced as and from Monday last and with the fine weather clubs will be taking the opportunity to have fields ready if the call arises.
Vote Of Sympathy
The club extends its sympathy to the Courtney Glanworth and Mitchelstown on the death of Dave Courtney in Bath in England, we also extend to our sympathy to family of Shiela Kiely Ballinwillin father of former club chairman Barry current PRO Cyril. May they rest in peace.
